58 v. Schallie f. Tope was bom 9 March 19039 and died 24 March 1903 in Van Wert County, Ohio.10 He is buried in Wren Cemetery, Van Wert County, Ohio.11

54. i. Grace Elizabeth5 Tope (Melville Freeman4, Levi3, George2, John1) was born 29 September 1884 in Van Wert County, Ohio,12 a mile north of Wren.  After being in failing health for seven months, she died during a kidney operation 26 March 1954 in the Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.13 Her funeral service was held on Monday, 29 March 1954 in St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church of which she was a member.14  Following the service, she was buried in the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, Harrison Twp., Van Wert County, Ohio.15 Grace was a piano teacher.

Grace married Lawrence Samuel McMichael, son of William McMichael and Margaret Parks, on 1 January 1900 in Wren, Van Wert County, Ohio.16  He was born in 1880 in Indiana17 and died 12 October 1922 in the Van Wert hospital. Van Wert, Van Wert County, Ohio.18 Lawrence was a farmer near the state line four miles north of Wren, Ohio, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, Ohio.19 His funeral service was held at the United Brethren church in Wren on Sunday afternoon, 15 October 1922, and he is buried in the

Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert County.20

After Lawrence's death. Grace married Martin Giessler, son of John Giessler, on 21 October 1925.21 He was born 28 August 187822and died October 1969 from typhoid fever in Van Wert County, Ohio.

Grace and Lawrence McMichael had two children:

+173 ii. Artis Florene McMichael, born in Decatur, Adams County, Indiana.

Grace and Martin Giessler had one child:
