According to oral tradition from
Cloe Tope, Levi built (or had built) thishouse, which still stands on
the
south half of Levi's farm. Later, William Vance Tope added a rear
section for
a kitchen. The addition, which was built after this photograph
was
taken, extended to the south (left in
the photo)
of the original structure.
The porch was made "L" shaped, and an
access door from the porch to the
kitchen was included.
