George and Lavina Tope had four children:

36. Fern Dale⁵ Tope (Hiram J⁴, Levi³, George², John¹) was bom 24 June  1878 in Blue Creek Township, Paulding County, Ohio,²⁰ and died on 22 February 1950 in Miami, Dade   County, Florida.²¹ He married Margaret Catherine Blake, daughter of James Blake and Mary M. Bitler,²²  on 15 February 1903 in Paulding County, Ohio.²³ Maggie", as Margaret was known, was bom 8 January 1884 in Paulding County, Ohio, the fifth of  fourteen children. She may have been married prior to her marriage to Dale.²⁴ 

 Margaret died on 2 September 1965 in Miami, Dade County, Florida, at the home other sister, Matilda Havel, in Miami, Florida.²⁵  Margaret and Dale are buried in the Flagler Cemetery, Miami, Dade County, Florida.²⁶

    They lived in at least three different cities during their marriage. In 1910 they were living in Paulding County, Ohio, and Maggie's 16-year-old brother. Alpha B. Blake, was living with them.₂₇ They lived in Ft. Wayne, Allen County, Indiana in 1920.28 They moved from Ft. Wayne, Allen County, Indiana to Miami, Dade County, Florida, in 1927, where Dale worked as a bakery foreman.²⁹

Dale and Margaret did not have children.
