THE HIRAM J. TOPE FAMILY
Almina and Albert Carter had five children:
68 i Harry F. Carter was born 27 July 1893, and died 31 March 1967 in
Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.37 He first married Althea Moore and then
Hazel I. Kemery. Harry worked in Mike's Country Market in Toledo.38
69 ii Edith Blanche Carter was bom 27 February 1897, Worstville,39 Ohio
and died 2 February 1961 in New York. She married James Ralph Sexton,
who was bom in 1890 and died in 1970 in New York.40
70 iii. Hazel Gertrude Carter, bom 27 August 1899, Hicksville, Ohio and
died in May 1971 in Pennsylvania. She married Leroy OTaughlin.
71 iv. William Levi Carter died about 1953 in Pennsylvania. He married
Ruth (maiden name not known).
72 v. Daisy Carter. No further information known.
27. iii. Sarah Alice5 Tope (Hiram4 Levi3, George2, John1) was bom 5 May
1872 in Willshire Township, Van Wert County, Van Wert, Ohio and died at
her home near Latty, Paulding County, Ohio about 1945.41 She married Fos-
ter R. McDougall, son of Theodore F. McDougall and Martha Alice Roush,42
on 11 March 1896 in Paulding County, Ohio.43 He was bom 18 April 1876,
and died on 23 December 1948. Sarah and Foster are buried in the St. Paul
Cemetery, Paulding County, Ohio.
Sarah and Foster McDougall had five children:
+73 i. William Arthur6 McDougall, bom 19 August 1896 in Paulding
County, Ohio.
+74 ii. Edna Belle McDougall, bom 21 April 1900.
+75 iii. Hilinda Frances McDougall, bom 13 August 1903 in Paulding
County, Ohio.
+76 iv. Theodore F. McDougall, bom 31 August 1906 in Paulding Co.,
Ohio.
