fire at the Van Wert County Fairground gate, but a record of this event has
not been found. Emma and Perry are buried in St. Paul's Cemetery, Paulding
County, Ohio.²³

    Emma and Commodore Roush had nine children:²⁴
    59 i. Charles Alonzo⁶ Roush, bom 27 November 1892; died 7 November
1957.
    60 ii. Marie Roush was bom 4 February 1893; died in March 1970.
    61 iii. Lafayette Augustus6 Roush, bom 18 June 1895; died in Pinellas, Flor-
ida in 29 March 1971.²⁵
    62 iv. Sylvester Leonides Roush, bom 28 November 1898; died 11 October
1986, Manatee, Manatee County, Florida.²⁶
    63 v. William Henry Roush, bom 19 April 1901; died in 1931.
    64 vi. Hiram James Roush, bom 20 July 1904; died 2 April 1970 in Harpers
Ferry, Jefferson County, West Virginia.²⁷ Hiram married Helen Cecelia
White on 28 June 1928 in Washington, D.C. Helen was bom 3 December
1908 in the District of Columbia.²⁸ Hiram and Helen were living in the Dis-
trict in 1930.

    66. viii. Ida Roush, bom 21 December 1907.
    67 ix. Philip David Roush, bom 7 August 1910; died in January 1964.²⁹
Philip, at one time, lived in Indiana, where he registered for Social Secu-
rity.³⁰
    26. ii. Almina Lucinda⁵ Tope (Hiram⁴ Levi³, George², John¹) was bom 26
February 1870 in Willshire Township, Van Wert, Ohio and died 25 May 1952
in the Bradford Hospital, Bradford, McKean County, Pennsylvania, after a
four-day stay.³¹ She married Albert Carter, son of William Carter and Agnes
Wilson on 5 March 1892 in Paulding County, Ohio.³² He was bom 16 No-
vember 1866 in Leeds, England.³³ He died on 13 August 1936 in the Summit
Hospital, Clermont, McKean County, Pennsylvania.³⁴ Albert worked for the
Works Project Administration, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.³⁵
Almina and Albert are buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery, McKean County,
Pennsylvania.³⁶
